John
Lim immigrated to Canada in 1964, and in 1971, devoted all of his time to
art, with numerous exhibitions both in the US & Canada. Lim's sculpture is
created to view from all angles; faces and heads are turned in differing directions,
expanding on any limited, static readings of his work. The figures embrace one
another in a tangible intimacy between each individual, and indeed this embrace
creates a unity, one form--one body--from many.
